Experience on St Louis by Night is simple. When you feel that your character has earned something, contact Part-time ST the_damaged_one via his Forum PM explaining how, why and what.
The following are random examples, there are countless ways to earn Experience Points. Example 1: Your Ventrue has been in St Louis for two months, has used Dominate 1 several times and through this constant usage has a better understanding of the Discipline. You now think your Ventrue has gained enough Experience to move up to Dominate 2. Your email would state this along with some examples of the character's Dominate 1 scenes. Example 2: Your character wants to become the leader of her Covenant. She does not have much leadership abilities and little to no Covenant Status, but has the drive and the calling. So she connives and sweet talks her way into the position. An email to mgmt might state the following: My character Jane has just become the Heirophant of the Circle of the Crone. She has been in St Louis for one month and convinced the Crone that she is the right person for the job by (however she accomplished this). Prior to this she had no Covenant Status or leadership abilities, and 1 dot in Manipulation. I think she has earned 1 dot in Leadership, 1 dot in Covenant Status, and 2 dots in Manipulation. Example 3: You write an in character forum post describing how your character gains influence. Post one might be something about the research done to find out who the influential person is. Post two might include the method used to become an acquaintance and then a friend of this person. Post three could describe subsequent ghouling, and so on. An email to mgmt might simply point this out and ask for that specific influence. In other words, when you role-play something out and believe that it will increase your character's stats, send an email with a request for it. Journals are not necessary on St Louis by Night. You need simply keep track of what you believe your character has earned, and send an email when appropriate.
